What is the B.E.E.V Project?
Launching in April 2025, the Bell Foundry Enterprise, Employment, and Volunteering (B.E.E.V) Project is designed to help residents boost their income, explore self-employment, secure work, and build confidence through volunteering - all at no cost.

What We Offer
Each week, we’ll host interactive sessions at The Marios Tinenti Centre (91 Russell Street, Loughborough, LE11 1BJ), offering tailored support in employment, enterprise, volunteering, and skills development. Residents can also train as community coaches, gaining valuable experience while making a positive impact locally.
These sessions are open to all residents within the Bell Foundry People Zone (Hastings Ward, LE11, under Charnwood Borough Council) in Loughborough. The project will run for 12 months, with session details to be announced soon. Stay updated by subscribing to our mailing list, following us on social media, or visiting our website: www.realpurpose.uk/services/beevproject.

Who’s Behind the Project?
Real Purpose, a Loughborough-based social enterprise founded in 2023, is leading the initiative. Our mission is to remove barriers to employment, learning, and volunteering, empowering individuals to achieve long-term success.
With funding from Leicestershire County Council and the NHS, we previously delivered employment and job retention support for residents managing their mental health through primary care services. Though a young organisation, our team brings decades of experience in employment support, working with individuals facing challenges such as mental health conditions, ADHD and autism, disability, learning difficulties, substance misuse, and criminal records.
On the B.E.E.V Project, we’ll run weekly sessions to help residents develop the skills they need to achieve their goals, whether that’s securing employment, starting a business, or engaging in volunteering. We’re also excited to partner with Community Enterprise Engine, a social innovation consultancy. They’ll provide dedicated enterprise support, helping residents explore business ideas and launch their own ventures.

How Will This Benefit Residents?
Thanks to the People Zones Grant Fund 2024/25, funded by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, we’re able to kickstart new opportunities for Bell Foundry residents who may face barriers to employment. Whether you’re looking to earn through work, develop business ideas, or gain confidence through volunteering, the B.E.E.V Project is here to support you.
Using Asset-Based Community Development principles, we’ll provide hands-on guidance through mentoring, skills training, and weekly advice sessions. Our goal is to empower residents to improve their financial stability, well-being, and community connections.
By training local community coaches, we aim to create a lasting impact - building a stronger, more connected Bell Foundry.
